However, I wish that some space had been given to the domain's history (I don't even know its name; Donskoy?), save that it is an island and that Donskoy basically captured it long ago.
In all, I recommend the book, even if it is slow at times, and think it to be one of the better ones in the series.. Well, I suppose it can a little, but this is one of its appealing characteristics as I essentially become Dylan, and was literally, in my mind, up on the medical table with my jockstrap being lowered by another jock ;) This story taps a few fetishes and the use of fear and pressure to enact dominance. Excellent seller. Was a gift for someone far away.. She is trying hard to be both scientific and folksy, but some of her jargon is not adequately explained (especially when a previously discussed brain structure or function comes up again in later chapters) and sometimes her folksy tone makes it difficult to accept her scientific viewpoint.
