It is a reference book for someone who needs to have in-depth information on the subject, and in this respect it is superb.
On the down side, it deals only with British practice, and only with square-rigged ships, but then that is the remit of the title.
I used this book as the main reference for rigging my model of HMS Unicorn of 1745, and I beleive that the rigging is now as acurate as I could reasonably make it and far better than the original kit instructions would have allowed.. Many thanks to Gregg Braden for such a book!. From a person that is afflicted with the disorder this book only skimmed the surface. The translations used are a variety: The Holy Bible NIV, the Holy Bible New Living Translation, the New King James Version and The Holy Bible English Standard Version.
The Scripture is beautifully integrated into the lovely designs so that, while the words speak to the heart, the colorist can enjoy the beautiful illustrations as well. Personally, I loved t
