Dr. I have just got it in the mail today, and to be honest I'm a little dissapointed. Unlike the typical college textbook "new edition" that tweaks pagination and swaps a few figures, but little else, the second edition of Linda Essig's Lighting and the Design Idea, is totally revamped. Too much faith is placed in triangular elements, without really discussing any of their problems and drawbacks (ESPECIALLY with the linear triangle).
Overall, the book does have its merits, but also its drawbacks. I hear a lot of happy chattering as they read the scenarios. It's easy 2 read and has pictures and photographs which make it less boring.. Kurt Wallander, Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, Abba Swedes always have something to offer. Sebald is a better comparison than Thoreau. I carry the book in my purse to use as a shopping guide. Well, it is a lot weaker in plot than the others, but still has a certain charm.
